Jack Gregory Named ASE NAPA Technician of the Year!
Jack Gregory is one heck of a mechanic. At least, that’s what NAPA (National Automotive Parts Association), AAA (American Automobile Association), ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) and the many others who honored him in Atlanta, Ga., this October say. Gregory was chosen from 400,000 other automotive technicians as the best in the country.
"It’s a great honor. It’s just amazing," Gregory said from his Wassaic shop, Jack’s Auto Service, on Route 22. "At first I thought someone was playing a joke on me. I was just overwhelmed. I was very excited."
Gregory traveled to Atlanta to accept the 2009 NAPA ASE Technician of the Year award, along with his wife, Linda. They spent four days in the south. But it wasn’t all fun and games; Gregory had to make a speech in front of a pretty big crowd.
"I kept thinking of the days ahead and of the speech in front of 700 people," he said. "So that was on my mind."
His wife, however, was more focused on the accomplishments of her husband, who has dedicated himself to building a steady business and loyal customer base. Read More…
